A Girl Has Needs

Posted by darlingmalivi on 2006.08.18 at 12:23

I just joined and before I take a refresher course to brush up on quotes, does anyone know how I can get my hands on a copy of "The Girl in the Lane?"  It's my favorite, but not released by Rhino.

EDIT:  Sorry, that's "The Girl in Lover's Lane."

EDIT (08/24):  My husband found it for me and we watched it last night!  Yippee!  I forgot how much I missed Big Stupid.

I've just started rediscovering MST3K again recently, and so have joined your community.

In the last couple of weeks, I've listened to or watched the Girl in Lover's Lane at least a half a dozen times. It's easily one of my recent favorites.

"Big Stupid to the rescue! Big Stupid to the rescue!"

Just awesome.

I know. I crack up EVERY time Danny calls him "Big" or "Mr. Stupid!"

Carrie(you're so very): "What's that?"

Big Stupid: "Boom mike. Picks up everything we say."

I'm sitting here typing and cracking up like a goofball.

I was looking at your interests and user pics. Apart from comic books, looks like we have a lot in common, esp. music. I love Morrissey and The Smiths, 10000 Maniacs, REM, etc. What's your interest in Peru? Are you Peruvian? My husband's parents were missionaries there and he was born in Iquitos and they lived in the jungle in a village called Munich until he was 9. BTW, cute kids. :)

My mom and dad were both from Peru. I myself have only been there once, but wouldn't mind going back down with the fam for a visit again.

Abby and Jon are alright, those two (but I'm fond of them a bit, so...).

Hey, is your icon from the old PBS 3-2-1 Contact show? My fourth grade teacher used to play that in our class and I LOVED it. Great, now I have the theme song in my head. Like the icon.

Yup it is from that show. I miss the show immensely and was a HUGE Bloodhound Gang fan.
